Why not join one of our Kennel Club Good Citizen courses for pet dogs
As well as giving you practical help and advice on your dog's training needs the courses are a great opportunity for you to meet other dog owners and your dog to make friends with other owners and dogs.
The club participates in the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme and the course covers all the disciplines required for you and your dog to gain a Bronze, Silver, and Gold Award. Above all, we aim to teach responsible dog ownership along with basic obedience so that everyone will go home at the end of a course with a well-mannered dog that can be taken anywhere without being an embarrassment or liability.
The classes for pet dogs are held from 7.30 on Thursday evenings in our spacious hall in Erith. Each class is approximately 45 minutes long with two experienced instructors if the class size requires this.
The instructors are very experienced dog owners and all compete in obedience competition with great success. We also have assistant instructors when extra help is needed.
Our methods are very gentle. WE DO NOT USE OR ALLOW CHECK CHAINS and will not permit harsh handling. We prefer to show handlers the right way in a positive manner, not a corrective way in a negative manner.
